Approach
To draw in every learner, especially quieter pupils, I use Padlet as a shared space where each child can post ideas and responses without having to speak up first.
Impact
Participation broadened and around 20 of 23 pupils contributed to the discussion, which in turn made whole-class talk richer. Quieter pupils gained a way in that did not depend on speaking up first, and their confidence grew with it.
Reflection
Giving pupils a low-stakes way in changed who contributed. I now pair Padlet posts with a quick verbal share, so the tool builds confidence towards speaking rather than replacing it.
